My favourite Books ever!
I've thought that I'm a type of book addicted or book lover, I do love read, I've read a lot of books, (I'd like to read more of course) but I have got a little problem when I read a book that really love I can read it a lot of times more, so sometimes I lost time.
I'll speak you about my favourite books. Pay attention and tell me if you have read one of them, if you like it or not, and recommend me more please!
- Mil y un Cuentos. Ed. Libsa: I don't know its name in english, but this book is really special for me, is the first book that I remember, and well it's awesome, because has a lot of classic fairy tales, the original stories - before disney- that in my opinion are better than the movies of this animation company, because have a lot of details and endings that are really amazing, because in the life nothing is perfect. This book which is the classic to read before sleep.
- Dracula: I wanted this book since a lot of time, because always had that weird obssesion with vampires, and I saw a comic of one of the chapters of Dracula and I knew it "I must read it!", so some moths later, I got a scholar version and was amazing, I do love it! It's my favourite novel, and some months ago I got an e-book and I read the complete version, I love Dracula and the vampires, gosh it's awesome. It's the horror classic if you haven't read it, you must read it now!!! All the characters are so good described, and the stage, everything.
- 50 fairy stories/ 50 historias de hadas. Ed. Silver Dolphin: This book is pretty nice, has good stories of fairies and magic places, and beautiful pictures, I like too much this book, I have read every tale some times.
- Classic Ghost Stories/ Historias Clásicas de fantasmas. Ed Silver Dolphin: Wow this one is one of the most specials, has stories of the biggest writers of all the horror history, like: Bram Stoker, Washington Irving, Edgar Allan Poe, Oscar Wilde, Sheridan Le Fanu, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Gosh, contains The hound of Baskerville it's awesome), I really love this book I've read it thousands of times, because every story is incredible. You must read it!
- Classic tales of vampires and shapeshifters/ Historias Clásicas de vampiros y transmutantes. Ed. Silver Dolphin.: This book has the most amazing vampires and werewolves tales, I do love it. Speacially "Carmilla" by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, one of the first vampires tales, it isn't know it for many people, but was before that Dracula and I think it's pretty beautiful, Carmilla the first woman vampire, really I love this character, the story is enchanting. Other that is exciting is "El invitado de Drácula" the first Dracula chapter that was deleted by Bram Stoker. You must read this book! I read it lots of times.
- The forgotten Garden/ El jardín Olvidado. Ed. Suma de letras. Author: Kate Morton. As you can see I'm in love with horror stories so I was a little bit undecided to read this book, because seemed to be a romantic novel, but well I finished reading it. I glad I'm was wrong. It's a pretty nice and sadly story about a girl of 4 years who arrives to Australia alone, without nobody. The story is really interesting, because mixes mistery in three times, with an unforgettable garden, and a family drama. Eliza Makepiece goes to live to her uncle in a big house, alone without her mother who died and her twice brother who died too while they were playing. Eliza grow up with her cousin Rose Elizabeth Mounchatret, and to love to her she havs to decide something really important for all her life. I love it, you must read it!
- The secret Keeper/ El cumpleaños secreto. Ed. Suma de letras. Author: Kate Morton: Actually I'm reading this one, it's by the same author and well I am in the second part of the book and I think I can solve the mistery. Kate Morton returns with other family drama. Laurel who was in her tree house during a picnic for the celebration of the birthday of her little brother Gerry, sees like her mom kills to a man in the entrance to her house, some years later whe Dorothy (Laurel's mom) is going to die, Laurel began to search about this crimme of her adolescence. The story counts about the youth during the second world war in England, and why Dolly Nicolson killed to that man, I have got a theory about who was the man killed but I 'll know if my theory is true when I finish the book. Highly recommended,
- The lake house/ La casa de Riverton Ed. Suma de letras. Author: Kate Morton: I have read 46 pages of this book but looks interesting (Most in the part where mentions to SHERLOCK HOLMES of course), and talks about an poetry who kills himself during a party in the lake house.
- Sherlock Holmes. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: I've been reading this lately, because the BBC series let a lot of curiosity on me about the original story. I've read 62 pages of an e-book of 3000, it's really interesting the way of Sherlock Holmes does deductions and I love it! I hate still to Irene Adler. I want a real book of Sherlock.
Well those are my favourites actually I've read other but aren't so important for me, like these. I'll read others in my list for read are: Cien años de Soledad (Gabriel García Marquez), El aluimista (Paulo Coehlo), Hamlet (Shakespeare), Caballo de Troya (J.J Benitez) and obviously Sherlock Holmes, I need it.
Recommend me more books please!!!!
